Creating Your Personalized Invisalign® Treatment Plan

Here at the Dental Implant Center of Miami, our doctors work hard to ensure that every patient receives the highest level of care. When you come to our offices, whether it be for dental implants, veneers, crowns, Invisalign®, or emergency dental services, our goal is always to provide you with the best possible treatment using the most advanced technology for the lowest price. One of the most commonly requested and technologically advanced treatments we offer is Invisalign®.

Your Initial Consultation: When you come in for an Invisalign consultation, our doctors take a 3D scan of your teeth and use it to map out every adjustment needed to correct your alignment issue.

They'll then send your plan to Invisalign where they'll create your series of custom aligners with advanced technology for precision and comfort. When you receive them you'll begin with the first set and move to the next one about every 2 weeks. You'll need regular visits to assess your progress.

3D Scan: Your dentist will take a 3D scan of your teeth using extremely sensitive imaging technology.

Dental Roadmap: Then, they create a detailed plan to slowly adjust your teeth and straighten your smile.

Custom Creation: Your Invisalign aligner will be custom-made for you using the most advanced 3D printing technology. They fit over your teeth and hug them with just enough pressure to slowly adjust their position.

Aligner Series: You'll get a series of these sets to take home. Every 2 weeks you change them to the next set which then applies gentle pressure in a slightly different way to make the next small correction.

Dental Check ins: Every 2 months you'll have a follow-up appointment to track your progress and ensure the process is going smoothly.

Cleaning your Invisalign trays is an important process to maintain the products effectiveness You can purchase a product from Invisalign's website, which are crystals placed in water to clear your aligners. Remember, your aligners should be in your mouth for approximately 22 hours a day, meaning that you will not be placing your Invisalign aligners in any solution overnight.

Clear aligner therapy, such as Invisalign, can vary from patient to patient as far as the length of time of use. The average patient who needs a full case of clear aligner therapy, such as Invisalign, will take approximately one year in treatment. Sometimes treatment can go up to two years or more depending on the severity of the case. My patients typically wear their aligners for 10 days each and most cases around 25 to 30 aligners. So this means that the patient would be wearing their trays for approximately 300 days or less than a year. This is great for clear aligner therapy because it is typically shorter than traditional braces in many cases.

Invisalign is a method of straightening your teeth or correcting your bite. Invisalign is a trademark of clear aligners that move your teeth. Clear aligner therapy, such as Invisalign, is a tray that is placed in your mouth for a minimum of 22 hours a day. These trays are custom made for your teeth. Every 10 days or so, you will change the tray to the next tray in your series. This next tray will be slightly different than the last one, pushing your teeth into the position to adapt to that tray. Over time, the teeth will begin to move, aligning them. Invisalign is another form of braces. Braces are metal wires that are placed on your teeth, whereas Invisalign is clear. Invisalign is typically so clear that it can not be seen from a distance. Invisalign is a way of changing the form of your teeth. It does not change the shape or color of your teeth but just the alignment of your teeth. Are you looking to work with an experienced dental implants doctor?
