What Is Full Teeth Replacement?

Comprehensive Teeth Replacements in Miami

If you are missing most (or all of your teeth), you may require a full teeth replacement.

This involves multiple dental implants and bridges. Depending on your needs, you may require 6-8 implants in the upper jaw, 4-6 implants in the lower jaw, and/or fixed temporary bridges. Implant Center of Miami is the Home of the $1789 Implant our special offer for Bay Harbor, Coral Gables, Coral Springs, Sunrise, Hialeah and Pompano Beach residents and national residents includes an implant, abutment, and crown for $1789 per implant without any additional costs. Explore why you may need a full mouth replacement and the options Implant Center of Miami has for you.

Why Do You Need to Replace Your Teeth?

There are many reasons why you need to replace any of your teeth that are missing. From the overall physical appearance of your face to the functionality of your jaw and teeth during daily tasks, such as eating, talking, and smiling, having a full smile is very important. A few reasons why it is so important to replace missing, chipped, or cracked teeth include:

Maintain your facial symmetry. When you start to lose teeth, your entire face can change shape and symmetry.

Stop movement in your jaw. As you lose teeth, the other teeth move in order to fill in the gap. This can cause you a lot of problems down the road when it comes to both functionality and aesthetics.

Maintain a healthy jaw. Your jawbone only stays healthy when it has to stay strong to hold your teeth in place. Implants do the same, preventing your jawbone from deteriorating.

What Does the Implant Procedure Entail?

There are many steps involved in the implant process. These include:

Implants need to be placed directly into your jaw like screws. In order to achieve this, your dentist must first make a small incision in your gums where each implant will be screwed in.

After the incision is made, we will screw in titanium alloy rods, which will act as the "root" of the implants. You will then be able to heal for a few weeks before the next step. We may place a temporary tooth over this area during this time.

Once your mouth is healed, extensions need to be added so that we can attach the crowns.

Then, once that is healed, your permanent replacement teeth will be attached to the extensions so you can talk and eat again.
