What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a method of straightening your teeth or correcting your bite. Invisalign is a trademark of clear aligners that move your teeth. Clear aligner therapy, such as Invisalign, is a tray that is placed in your mouth for a minimum of 22 hours a day. These trays are custom made for your teeth.

Every 10 days or so, you will change the tray to the next tray in your series. This next tray will be slightly different than the last one, pushing your teeth into the position to adapt to that tray. Over time, the teeth will begin to move, aligning them. Invisalign is another form of braces.

Braces are metal wires that are placed on your teeth, whereas Invisalign is clear. Invisalign is typically so clear that it can not be seen from a distance. Invisalign is a way of changing the form of your teeth. It does not change the shape or color of your teeth but just the alignment of your teeth.
