Initial consultation. The first step to any dental intervention is assessing the patient, and looking at the options. You and your dentist will sit down and decide what you are looking to accomplish, what your options are, and which one best suits your needs and wants. This also includes looking at eligibility: Is your jawbone strong enough to withstand a single tooth replacement?

Tooth extraction. Once a single-tooth replacement has been decided as the chosen route to replace missing/chipped teeth, the process can really begin. Our staff will then make an appointment to first extract the remnants of your tooth if the area where the implant is supposed to go is not already cleared.

Drilling the rods. Once the area is cleared, the titanium post can be inserted into your jawbone. 

Healing time. After the post has been put into your jawbone, you will be given time to heal. The healing process takes about two to three months.

Additions. Once your jaw has healed, your dentist will go back in and expose the tooth replacement. A crown will then be added, which will create the appearance of a natural tooth. Your dentist creates this crown by taking a molding of your entire mouth and making the tooth based on this molding.
